It embeds the device in the schematic so you don't need the library to
view schematics created by others, making them easily portable to other
developers.
Making connections between parts can sometimes be tricky. You have to
make sure that the connection is made by watching for the single
highlited dot when connecting lines. If you overlap the target it
won't make the connection although it may look like it has.
